Alaetra Long practices in the estate planning department, where she assists clients in developing comprehensive plans to protect their assets and provide for loved ones. Her practice includes drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and long-term goals. Through careful planning and clear communication, Alaetra helps clients navigate the estate planning process with confidence and understanding. Before joining Cummins & Bonestroo, Alaetra gained experience drafting estate planning documents, conducting legal research, and assisting clients through all stages of the planning process at a boutique law firm in Elk River, Minnesota. She also externed with the Mediation Center Minnesota, where she supported community mediation initiatives and helped establish a cohort to expand educational opportunities for new mediators. Alaetra earned her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she also obtained her Rule 114 Qualified Neutral Certificate. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University, where she served as a four-year captain of the NCAA Division III varsity volleyball team and earned multiple All-Conference honors.
